Хвар

Hvar is a Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea, located off the Dalmatian coast. The island is spread out from west to east to around 80 km. Covered partly with pinewood and rich with a multitude of Mediterranean plant life and trees, Hvar has many hidden coves and lagoons accessible only by boat. The flat part of the island between Stari Grad, Vrboska and Jelsa is under vineyards, producing the best Croatian wines. The weather consists mostly of gentle winters, warm summers and plenty of sunshine.
